Lukács Thermal Bath

Lukács Thermal Bath (Lukács Gyógyfürdő) is a historic public spa in Budapest, located on the Buda bank of the Danube. Fed by natural thermal springs, it offers indoor and outdoor pools, steam rooms, and medicinal treatments.

History and facilities

The baths date to the Ottoman occupation of Budapest in the 16th–17th centuries, though the current buildings are largely 19th-century neo-classical structures. The water temperature in the main pools ranges from roughly 22 °C to 40 °C. Lukács is popular with both locals seeking relaxation and tourists exploring Budapest beyond the party district.
