Hungarians
Hungarians (Magyar in their own language) are the ethnic group and citizens of Hungary, a landlocked Central European country. They speak Hungarian, a Finno-Ugric language unrelated to the Slavic or Germanic languages of surrounding nations.
Culture and hospitality
Hungarians are known for a rich culinary and drinking culture that includes dishes such as gulyás and lángos, and beverages such as Pálinka fruit brandy, Unicum herbal bitter, and Tokaji wine. Hungarian hospitality is generous, and locals are proud of Budapest's bar and nightlife scene.
