Buildings in the ruin-bar context
Ruin bars take their name and character from the derelict or semi-abandoned buildings in which they are housed. Rather than demolishing or fully renovating these structures, operators preserve the decayed fabric — exposed brick, crumbling plaster, overgrown courtyards — as a deliberate aesthetic.
