Budapest
Budapest is the capital and largest city of Hungary, situated on both banks of the River Danube. It was formed in 1873 by the administrative unification of three separate towns — Buda, Óbuda and Pest — and today has a population of approximately 1.7 million.
Budapest as a nightlife destination
Budapest is widely regarded as one of Europe's top nightlife cities, largely due to its ruin-bar scene, which began in the city's 7th district in the early 2000s. The low cost of living relative to Western Europe makes it a popular destination for stag parties and group travel.
