Soft drink
A soft drink is a non-alcoholic beverage, most commonly carbonated and sweetened with sugar or artificial sweeteners. The term distinguishes these drinks from 'hard' alcoholic beverages.
Soft drinks in bars
Soft drinks — including cola, tonic water, lemonade, and soda water — are standard mixer and standalone options in virtually every bar. They are commonly used as chasers or mixers for spirits and are always available for non-drinkers or as pace-setters between alcoholic rounds.
