Musical ensemble
A musical ensemble is a group of two or more musicians who rehearse and perform together as a collective unit. Ensembles range from small chamber groups and bands to large orchestras and choirs.
Types of ensemble
Ensembles are typically named by their size: a duo (two players), trio (three), quartet (four), and so on. Popular music uses the term 'band' or 'group', while classical music distinguishes between chamber ensembles and full orchestras. Live musical ensembles are a common fixture at Budapest's ruin bars and night venues.
