Füge Udvar: Budapest's fig-tree ruin bar
Named after the enormous fig tree at its centre, Füge Udvar punches above its weight with cheap drinks, a sprawling game room and a vibe that's more neighbourhood local than tourist trap.
What makes it special
Füge Udvar gets its name from the massive fig tree growing right in the middle of the bar — hard to miss, impossible to forget. Beyond the centrepiece, it earns its reputation the old-fashioned way: prices that won't empty your wallet before the night has started, Guinness on draught, and a proper game room to keep the group entertained.
- Location: Klauzál utca 19, District VII (the party district)
- Vibe: relaxed, unpretentious, great value
- Good for: groups who want a fun warm-up before hitting the bigger venues

Visiting on the crawl
Füge Udvar is one of our favourite spots to kick off the Budapest pub crawl — the atmosphere is low-key enough to get everyone talking, the drinks are affordable, and the game room breaks the ice fast. We often start the night here.
