Bar billiards
Bar billiards is a table game traditionally played in British pubs in which players use a cue to pot balls into holes on a cloth-covered table, earning points while avoiding knocking over mushroom-shaped skittles.
How bar billiards works
Unlike snooker or pool, bar billiards has no pockets at the sides — balls are potted into nine holes of varying point values cut into the table surface. A timed game typically lasts 15 to 20 minutes. Knocking over a white skittle forfeits the points scored on that shot; knocking the black skittle cancels the entire score.
